About this Role

As Starri’s Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for building and telling the story of what makes Starri, our music motion game, the ideal entertainment for everyone who wants to move to the music they love. You will work closely with the game cell, partnerships and operation teams to craft our narrative, drive awareness to our game and engage with our audience in the community. This role reports to the Marketing Director, APAC.

You have a deep understanding of market research techniques, excellent storytelling skills, and proven social media/content marketing experience, preferably with regional or international exposure. You are ambitious to take on big challenges, and highly collaborative with team members to solve hard problems.

While you are primarily responsible for the growth and success of Starri, you will also be part of a global marketing team that develops the overall marketing strategy for Nex. Therefore this role is a hybrid of Product Marketing for a specific product (Starri) combined with a social media expertise that could both supercharge Starri marketing and also inform and influence how Nex uses social media and digital content marketing worldwide.

What you will bring to the table

Over 5 years experience of product marketing experience in preferably gaming or tech industry, or in broad customer centric companies. If you also have previous social media and/or influencer marketing experience then you’re the person we’re looking for.

This role includes 60% product marketing and 40% social media and growth marketing.

60% product marketing includes:
  • Help shape the content and communication plan, as part of the go-to-market strategy in each target market for Starri with the Marketing Director and game cell.
  • Support the international growth and scaling of Starri with:
  • Paid media campaigns with our advertising agency.
  • Lifecycle marketing — email, push, and other retention tactics with help from our team and network of partners.
  • Live ops coordination with the product team on new song drops, limited time events, special collaborations with artists, etc.
  • Identify early indicators from the market and any opportunities that we can ride on, or gaps in our products that we need to fix.
  • Research on the competitive landscape and propose how to best position and offer our products to the right target audience.
  • Research and identify key influencers within designated verticals.
  • Propose and manage influencer programmes to activate our potential audience and engage our followers.
  • Manage content pipeline with external vendors and freelancers.
  • Events, PR, offline activation support.
40% social media marketing includes:

Conduct research and understand our target audience on each of the social media platforms that you manage, including their motivations and needs, to create the appropriate creative content to spread awareness for Starri, and engage and delight our followers. Develop community management strategy, based on business objectives, who are we talking to and how. Tasks include:

  • Manage the content calendar for Starri
  • Propose test and learn plan on social media
  • Grow the brand on social media
  • Define our brand voice on social media
  • Active research and ride on latest trends
  • Triage incoming messages
  • Prompt and consistent messaging, content, and crisis management across networks
  • Provide best practices to our players
  • Nurture a healthy community
  • Provide audience insights and learnings to the internal team
  • Fluency in English is a must.
  • Good command in either Chinese, Japanese or one Asian language is required.
  • Have experience in PR, Marketing and/or support-related fields.
