Senior Manager, Marketing Communications
Location: Remote (USA & Canada only — PST hours preferred) with some office travel required

Position Overview
Nex is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Manager, Marketing Communications to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in shaping and communicating our brand story through social media channels, establishing our brand presence, and driving engagement with our target audience. The ideal candidate has a strong background in brand communications, particularly within the consumer products, gaming, sports, fitness or technology space, and excels at crafting compelling narratives across digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media Strategy and Management: Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with our brand vision and objectives. Create and manage a content calendar, develop innovative campaigns, and actively engage with our community to build brand awareness and loyalty.
- Brand Communications: Establish and maintain a strong brand identity across all outbound platforms including social media and web. Ensure consistent messaging that resonates with our target audience and effectively communicates our brand values and product offerings.
- Content Creation and Publishing: Write, produce, and edit high-quality, engaging content tailored for various social media channels, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube. Work with internal creative resources to produce and design visually engaging videos, posts and assets. Develop creative briefs for external agencies and collaborators to produce compelling and on-brand content.
- Influencer and Creator Partnerships: Identify, recruit, and manage relationships with influencers and content creators who align with our brand values. Develop and oversee influencer marketing campaigns and agencies that enhance our social media presence and amplify our product message.
- Analytics and Optimization: Monitor social media and website performance using analytics tools to track key metrics for brand awareness and reach, measure campaign effectiveness, and identify opportunities for improvement. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies, optimize content, and increase engagement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the VP of Marketing and cross-functional teams, including Design, Product Development, and the Customer experience team, to ensure cohesive brand messaging and integrated marketing efforts. Collaborate with external agencies and creatives to develop high-impact marketing materials and campaigns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in marketing communications, with a significant focus on digital branding, social media management and content strategy.
- Proven experience building brands and driving engagement through effective messaging, writing, and creative execution.
- Experience in developing audience strategies, writing creative briefs, and leading x-functional teams and projects.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to create compelling copy for social media and digital platforms/web.
- Strong experience in developing and managing influencer and creator partnerships.
- Excellent project management skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience using social media analytics tools to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
