The Role
As Nex’s DevOps Engineer, you tackle the challenge of overcoming scalability problems and help development teams maximize their effectiveness as they scale. You use a product development approach to build infrastructures and tools for testing, development, and deployment. You own Nex’s CI/CD and cloud infrastructure and are exposed to all engineering functions, including ML, frameworks, embedded systems, game & app developments, and cloud development. You spend most of your time understanding developers’ pain points, adopting new technology, building reusable tools, and automating critical workflows. Our developers love your products and are regularly impressed by your work. You stay at the cutting edge of DevOps technology and feel supported to revolutionize how things are done in Nex. You report to the VP of Platform.

You are a technology enthusiast and a hardcore programmer. You are obsessed with repeatability, consistency, and simplicity. You consider every automation opportunity and insist that processes and structures are best defined by code. You enjoy making other people successful. Coding is your doorway to the world.

What You Will Bring to the Table

• Native in multiple scripting languages, command-line interfaces, and Git.
• Proficiency in asynchronous and parallel programming patterns.
• Experience in DevOps, IaaS, and cloud infrastructures.
• Familiarity with relational and document databases, message brokers, containerization, HTTP, REST, and networking.

• Fascination with new DevOps and cloud technology.
• Desire to help and make others successful.
• Willingness to dive deep into problems.
• Commitment to building useful products.
• Focus on results, not opinions.

Nice to Have

• Expertise in open source tools and frameworks.
• Deep knowledge of AWS, GCP, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in Android, web, Unity3D, and ML development.
• Experience with building fault-tolerant, scalable architectures.
• Experience with serverless architectures and monitoring and logging tools.
• Understanding of information security best practices.
• Interest in venture business and startup life.
